I was fortunate to find many skipjacks at a marina in Deale Island this summer where they were being repaired and readied for the Skipjack Races on Labor Day Weekend. These wooden boats are so old they require much maintenance and this worker was concentrating hard on making sure the boom got a careful coating of paint. This painting was accepted into the Marine Art Show at the Salmagundi Club in 2017.
