A Painters Journey

My students and I are certainly immersing ourselves in living the French country life complete with extraordinary food, wine, conversation, daily walks, and hours spent in the wonderful studio of Kippy Hammond. Kippy has designed this workshop so that all ours needs are met and we only have to think about painting and filling our memory banks with exquisite scenes. We spent all day in the studio yesterday honing drawing skills with simple still life; today we are doing more complicated set ups which mimic conditions we might find in nature. This afternoon we venture outside for our first plein air session. Got some it will be a new experience, others have been painting outdoors for awhile. Feeling so fortunate!
